On my way to Amsterdam

I surely am on my way to Amsterdam...half way to be exactly. While stitching away I just realized that I was just a tad over the half way mark. Needless to say that this made my day!!!

I took also part of two exchanges at Hooked on Exchanges...and both pieces arrived at their new home :)

Gwen was my partner in the Prairie Schooler Seasonal Exchange and she choose the season Summer.  I finished it as  a project bag. The pictures are a bit crappy, but I don't have any better ones.

 Prairie Schooler Prairie Seasons
Fabric: hand dyed Jobelan "Summer Sky"
Fibers: DMC, but changed almost all of them to my likings

Sadie was my partner for the Snowman Ornament Round at Hooked on Exchanging and this is what I stitched for her...
Let it Snow
Designer: Country Cottage Needelworks
Fabric: Belfast Summer Khaki
Fibers: Threadworx, DMC, Gentle Art and Crescent Colors

Hope all is well at your part of the world, here it surely is. Even the sun is shining today for a change :)

Gabi, all three pieces look great. I can't wait to see Amsterdam when it's all done.

Do you have a link to a tutorial for the project bag you did? I've never seen that finish before and I really like it.

Your exchange pieces are phenominal!! I love the project bag. Did you design the bag yourself too?

Amsterdam is looking great! Half way, that is an awesome accomplishment :)

Gabi,

I've loved watching Amsterdam come to life! It is so beautiful. Halfway mark. Woo Hoo!

Very cute exchanges. Project bag--what a great idea.

Congrats on getting to the halfway point, it is looking great. The pieces done for the exchanges are nice as well. Envy you being able to put in a zipper, I am sewing challenged.

Your snowman ornie is adorable and I love your finish! Sadie will adore it and what a lucky partner.

You have been busy too, missy :)

It is so interesting to me when I stop and think that here it is heading into summer for us and autumn for you. Wonderful world :)

Congrats on fabulous progress and great finishes -- such lucky exchangers to be paired with you :)

Amsterdam looks absolutely wonderful--- I've been contempating one of those cities ... namely Paris, but I fear I'd never have the stick-to-it-iveness to finish. Maybe I'll stare at your pics long enough to get inspired. :)

Amsterdam is absolutely stunning and I can just imagine how great it felt to realize you were past the half way mark!

Love both your exchanges and really love the project bag!

Woman! You are just a busy bee. That project bag looks really well-made, and cheerful to boot. I'm not going to say anything about the sheer scope and beauty of Amsterdam since everybody else already did... oops, I think I just did, too.

Love the exchange pieces. I MUST do some of those LHN ornaments!!! I got Amsterdam and the only part stitched is the train tower that you have that's the farthest right. Maybe I should go to the right when I start it, so you will see parts you haven't gotten to yet!

Wow! Amsterdam is really becoming a masterpiece, Gabi--beautiful work :) Your gifts for Sadie and from Gwen are wonderful--don't you love those project bags? Yours is darling--I've never tried making one myself; doubt I could get the zipper in with my poor sewing skills :)

Hope you're enjoying a wonderfully relaxing weekend :)
