Update on Frederika

Thank you for all for your encouraging comments about the missing packet. Which has arrived meanwhile. Without even making a trip over Europe. It must have taken a break somewhere...lol. Not complaining here. I'm just so very happy it arrived and didn't get lost.
The new BBD chart called Summer is just lovely. And I can finally go on with the last part of the Mystery sampler as well. But I think this week Amsterdam is calling my name loudly.

Last week I mainly stitched on Frederika, who now has a border. No sign of herself yet.
It's the first  time for me to stitch on 40ct and after a day of getting used to it, it's working out fine. And the NPI silks are gorgeous to work with. Although I won't abandon DMC and other cotton threads completely, I'm pretty sure I will stitch more often with NPI. My husband just hopes that there isn't a new addiction looming. (He might be out of luck though)

Frederika by Carriage House Samplings
Stitched on 40ct Lakeside Linens "Vintage Pearled Barley"
with NPI

Put also a bit time into Amsterdam:

Next to stitching I took up my knitting needles and put couple of rows in a scarf for my daughter, plus started a pair of socks.

Hope everybody has a great time where ever in the world you're situated. Here it's all fine. Spring is on its way and in my garden the daffodils start to flower. Not sure what it is with daffodils, but they always make me happy :)

wow your knitting looks great, I cannot knit to save my life, i wish i could since it seems so much more practical than stitching :)

one of the things i love about people's blogs is when they talk about the seasons, you are talking about spring, just as we are thinking of going into autumn

Love your Amsterdam sitching so much!
Spring is my favourite season :D
But here in Bilbao, the unusual summer we are having this year is finishing and autumn is coming...

Yep your husband is out of luck! The lure of silk will certainly call you again.

The stitching and knitting look great as always.

Your stitching and knitting is just wonderful. Each time I see Amsterdam I'm full of admiration. What a job!
Glad that the package finally arrived. When we had a Canadian student living with us for a year, she received one of her Christmas packages (sent in November from Canada) in April. Fortunately is was the same year and not a couple years later, lol.

We are going into autumn after a rainy summer. I hope we will have an indian summer for some time.

I am so impressed that your stitched the entire border! My Frederick has been languishing in a WIP pile for longer than I care to remember! Maybe with the return of cooler autumn weather I will be in the mood to stitch those colors! Looking forward to seeing more.

Your stitching is looking lovely, the silks are really nice to work with. The scarf and socks are coming along beautifully, I'm busy knitting my youngest a cardigan/jacket as we go into autumn. It's so strange how our seasons are opposite to each other.

The worst part of Fredricka is over? I always thought that the frame for both Frederick and Fredricka looked intense.

Your city scape...beautiful!

You've been busy - stitching and knitting. I admire you stitching on 40 count - the closest I've managed is 35 count and I wasn't all that keen on it.

Glad your parcel arrived safe and sound. One of mine did also although I have really given up on the other two.
Love your knitting and your stitching looks wonderful. I know what you mean about the Daffodils. Mine are coming out as well. I also have Snowdrops and Blue Bells poking through. Snowdrops are out and the Blue Bells should be out in a couple more weeks. Love Spring, could do without Winter though. Will have to move North I guess

Nice job on Frederika, I hate stitching borders, so getting it done first would be a blessing.

Great colors in your border, Gabi. And Amsterdam looks lovely, as always. How long with the scarf be when finished? It already looks long!!

It's so funny to think of daffodils coming up for you, Gabi, while we are beginning to experience cooler nights and shorter days.

Nice progress on Frederika and Amsterdam is growing into one strikingly lovely city :) And you knit, too--how pretty. I love the shade of yarn you're using.

Glad that missing package decided to turn up, too. I adore that BBD Summer chart so I can't wait to see your progress on it :)

Glad you long lost package arrived. Your knitting looks lovely. It's an age since I did any knitting.
Perhaps I'd better start It seems to be infashion again now.

That border looks very interesting to see what goes inside! Wonderful work on Amsterdam, the one I was working on got sent home. I really disliked the way those threads were set up. If it were my kit I would of had to reorganize it in some way. Happy Spring to you!Although I am a bit jealous since your winters are NOTHING like ours!!

Love your newest needlework project, and so happy for you that the package finally arrived. Isn't it wonderful stitching with nice silks? It is rather addicting, I must admit, and rather expensive too, but well worth it.
"Amsterdam" is just gorgeous! I can't believe your incredible talents....knitting too! Lovely scarf and socks in progress!

Nice stitching, Gabi. I learned to knit when I was younger, but only managed to do two baby sweater sets.
