Happy New Year

I hope everybody had a great time during Christmas and New Year and I wish you all a very happy New Year and may all your dreams come true. :)

The last bit of Christmas stitching, both finished off as Flatfolds .....

Songs of the Seasons by The Prairie Schooler
Fabric: 32ct Belfast by Picture This Plus in the color Fog

Then I started on Christmas Eve a new project. This years choice fell on "Santa's Village", the new series from Country Cottage Needlework.  Part one is finished - minus the button over the tree. That has to wait until the end because the fabric is mounted on a scroll frame. Now I'm waiting  impatiently for part two to arrive here.
Santa's House
Part 1 of Santa's Village by Country Cottage Needleworks
Fabric: 32ct Belfast Summer Khaki

I hope you all have been good and gotten nice gifts from Santa. Santa was quite generous here. I got from my daughters the Feller Collection book, and from my husband a kit with silks. Plus fishing gear (not pictured).
To be honest the story was that the original gift wasn't available which we got to know only shortly before Christmas. My husband said then enthusiastically "What about some FISHING GEAR? Which got me in high speed to "help" him choosing the right gift. Thanks to the fantastic service of The Attic Needlework, a most beautiful sampler kit was laying under the tree in time. Oh, and he got me the fishing gear anyway. No complaint here....lol.
Not that I deserved any of that. Because I wasn't that good....
I crashed my car, and it's a total write off. All my fault.
And I'm just utterly thankful that I didn't harm the truck driver and made it out of the car in one piece.
Since I don't have a car to drive and there for not going anywhere, and it's too  hot here right now to do anything anyway,   I'm going to spend some quality time with Emma Miles - under the airco.
Wishing you all a fantastic New Year filled with wonderful stash and lots of gorgeous finishes :)

Ich liebe diese Prairie Schooler Songs of the Seasons.

Sorry to hear about the accident, but glad everyone involved was ok - cars are replaceable.

Loving Santa's Village, I'm still waiting on the fabric to get mine started.

Glad to hear that you are okay, and the truck driver too.
I really like the Songs of the Seasons pieces. I haven't stitched them but maybe on of these years.
Love your Attic gifts.
Just wanted to offer, if you get to hot down there in Australia I could maybe send you some snow from North America mainly Northern Iowa. It is -15 degrees here this morning with the windchill. Our high today will be 28 without windchill but I am sure there will be some sort of windchill factored in, there always is.
Take care.

Ouch - so sorry to read about the accident. I totalled a (very old) car myself several months ago, so I know how you feel... and the huge relief that nobody got hurt. Of course you deserve every last one of your lovely gifts :-) - enjoy, and have a happy stitchy 2013.

I love your finishes, just gorgeous, as are your gifts...including the fishing gear, I imagine, lol...husbands are so darn cute,
I had to stop and giggle at myself as I forget that it's summer there, so when you said "airco" I was like brrrr, it's snowing outside!

I'm glad no one was hurt. It was a choice between the Santa Village Series, and the new LHN Sheep Virtue series for me this year. I chose the LHN Sheep, so I will enjoy watching your choice come to life.

Oh Gabi accidents do happen and as long as no one was injured cars can be replaced or repaired. Your guardian angel was looking out for you.

What another great set of flat folds! And the Christmas Village series has my intrigued, but I'm holding out until I see more. So glad the accident didn't get anyone hurt. Are you being "punished" by not getting a replacement?? LOL
